Jacinta graduated from Newcastle University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy). She has a broad range of experience working in paediatrics, and has been fortunate to work within a variety of settings.

Jacinta enjoys working closely with children and their families to achieve the best outcomes. Jacinta gained experience working in the community, focusing on the impact a disability has on participation and inclusion. Jacinta has also developed a special interest in environmental modifications, prescription of specialised mobility and self-care equipment, and technology to support independence.

Jacinta previously provided specialist services in rural and remote areas across NSW to children who have cerebral palsy.  In Queensland, Jacinta has worked within a tertiary children’s hospital, working across all age groups from infants to adolescents.

More recently, her career has focused on clinical education and Jacinta has enjoyed supporting students and clinical educators to achieve success in clinical placements.
