David la Silva

David is a clinical educator for The University of Queensland Health and Rehabilitation Clinics (UQHRC)-Audiology Clinic. He currently supervises student practitioners in the internal UQHRC Audiology Clinic and assists in the delivery of the UQHRC school based hearing screening program. David’s previous clinical experience is with Australian Hearing, performing adult assessments and rehabilitation for both complex adults and paediatrics. David has also gained unique skills and experiences in remote communities’ delivering essential hearing services since 2013. David enjoys exploring new cultures and participating in an active lifestyle.   





 

Auriel Sher   BSc (Logopaedics) UCT, MAudSA CCP

Clinical Educator

Auriel SherAuriel Sher is a clinical educator for The University of Queensland Health and Rehabilitation Clinics (UQHRC)-Audiology Clinic. She qualified as an Audiologist and Speech Pathologist in South Africa in 1986, and moved to Australia in 1996. Auriel has worked in school, hospital, private practice and university environments.  Her experience in adult and paediatric complex diagnostic assessment facilitates student clinical education and she specialises in Central Auditory Processing assessment and management. Auriel has three young adult children and is passionate about travelling the world.

Rosita Chan

Rosita is a clinical educator for The University of Queensland Health and Rehabilitation Clinics (UQHRC)-Audiology Clinic. She qualified as an Audiologist in 1999 and has worked in variety of environments since that time including hospitals, education departments and private and government audiology practices.  Prior to working at the University of Queensland, Rosita primarily worked for the Education Department of Hong Kong and as a Senior Audiologist in Australian Hearing for 10 years. Rosita specialises in adult rehabilitation and enjoys supervising student practitioners in the internal Audiology Clinic and school based screenings. Rosita is active in her local church and enjoys a diversity of cultures.

 

 

 

Robyn Choi  BSc, MAudSt, MAudA (CCP), AFHEA

Clinical Educator

Auriel SherRobyn is a clinical educator for The University of Queensland Health and Rehabilitation Clinics (UQHRC)-Audiology Clinic. She qualified as an Audiologist in 2013 and is currently obtaining Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Audiology. Robyn has worked with both adult and paediatric population, and her experience in diagnostic, rehabilitation and tele-audiology brings unique opportunities in student clinical education. She specialises in Central Auditory Processing assessment and management. Robyn enjoys working with clinicians and students from all disciplines to deliver high quality and evidence-based clinical services. Robyn’s current clinical and research interests include Auditory Processing Disorder, simulation in clinical education and middle ear disorders in paediatric population. Robyn enjoys calligraphy and playing with her pets in her free time.
